I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms were nicely decorated and there was a nice touch of champagne while waiting for the buffet, the cleanliness could have been better, and the lack of hot water was disappointing. The service, on the other hand, was exceptional with the reception accommodating our needs and providing chairs, umbrellas, and drinks. The location was convenient for exploring Varadero downtown, despite some noise issues at the hotel. The dining options were lacking in fresh fruit, but the bar staff were excellent with 24-hour service.
